Looking for Light

I recently woke up with these verses on my mind - 

Psalm 118:24 (NLT)
This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. 

Lamentations 3:23-24 (NLT)
Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” 

Some days I need to be reminded to rejoice and be glad. That is not my default stance. It requires intentionality. Some days I need to be reminded that despite how things look, God remains faithful, trustworthy, and good. Do you need these reminders too?

In a world that can feel so dark, I need to see the light. I’m trying each day to notice the beauty around me and snap a picture to remind me when I forget. I want to share some of the beauty I found this week. If you, too, are longing to notice more light, maybe you want to give this practice a try.
